Iran’s exports of dairy products would reach 1 million tons by the end of the current Iranian year (March 19), says Deputy Agriculture Minister Morteza Rezaei.

Iran’s main dairy export destinations are Iraq, Afghanistan and Russia, adding that other export destinations include Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Japan, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Latest data provided by Abdolmehdi Bakhshandeh, deputy agriculture minister for planning and economic affairs, show milk and dairy products worth $325.9 million were exported from Iran during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21).

Iran is among the top milk producers in the world.
